Many people are searching for direction in their lives. Many face the dilemma of choosing what path to take in life. Still others struggle with choosing between courses of action. Many people are wondering if there is a way to God, a way to Heaven.
The Bible tells us there is a Way. In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the Way.” At Lifeway we make it our first priority to point people to Jesus, the Way.
Today many scoff at the idea of truth. Sadly, their scoffing is not completely without good reason. Men and even churches have twisted the truth, buried the truth, and denied the truth. In spite of this tragedy, there must be truth even if it means rediscovering the truth.
Jesus also said in John 14:6, “I am the Truth.” A little later in John 17:17, Jesus, speaking to His Father said, “Thy Word is Truth.” At Lifeway, we make a big deal of preaching and teaching the Bible because it is truth. We open the Bible every service and clearly explain what God’s truth says to us today.
The hashtag #YOLO or “You Only Live Once” is popular on social media today and it has even made it into our everyday speech. We all want to live our lives to the fullest, to make the most of the life that has been given to us. Unfortunately this YOLO mindset often means taking risks and doing the daring. One risk people take is with eternity. Many never stop to consider this truth: when we die we will all spend forever somewhere.
The Bible tells us that there is life we can all have called eternal life – life forever in Heaven. Again Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the Life.” In John 10:10, Jesus also said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” At Lifeway we make every effort to ensure people find eternal life and abundant life in Jesus.
